I Love online bingo!

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

I love playing online bingo. I have never actually won a big jackpot, but I like just playing the game. I like being able to talk to other people while I play that like to talk about anything. I used to play at my great grandmother’s nursing home and I really enjoyed it. It is a great way to get to know other people and hear stories about the lives of others. I also play online because I can make the pace of the game faster. I like being able to have less of a lull between the balls that are being called. I like a fast paced game where I can talk to different people. I like hearing what other people have to say and I find it really easy talking during bingo. Bingo is a great way to meet new people and also helps you pay attention to what you are doing. It helps you search for certain numbers and also multitasking with different bingo cards.

Motorbike safety

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

I’m writing this article because motorbike safety is so important to me. I lost one of my best friends to a motorbike accident. Even, though he had been riding bikes for years he died because he was hit by a semi truck and didn’t have a helmet on. So when deciding to purchase a motorbike there are a few safety things to consider. 1. Get trained, liscenced and get bike insurance 2. If you are purchasing a used bike, make sure that you have it checked out. The tyres and the motor. Having a motorbike is a big difference from a car because a bike only has two wheels. So if something is off with one tire your entire bike could be out of order. 3. Never Get On A Bike Without A Helmet. It doesn’t matter if you are going cross country or just down the street. Putting on a helmet has to become a habit. 4. Along with your helmet wear protective gear at all times. 5. Never ride while you are under the influence.

The root of most medical negligence

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

The root of most medical negligence is a lack of time. Currently, because of budget cuts there are fewer nurses working the hospital floor than ever before. Likewise, doctors are overstretched and sleep deprived. When doctors and nurses are rushing around a hospital to cover a large patient load they are able to provide individual patients with less of their time. Consequentially, to receive the best medical care possible, and to avoid being a victim of medical negligence, hospital patients should do everything within their power to become savvy to the modern realities of hospitals.

Because of the lack of time that medical professionals have, it is important to develop a good working rapport with your doctor or nurse who is seeing you. Being friendly, agreeable, and engaging are important techniques to win a doctor over to “your side”. Ask questions that are engaging, but do not insult the intelligence of the doctor. Finally, remember that doctors and nurses have feelings. The best way to make sure that they go out of their way to help you feel better is if you go out of your way to make sure the doctor is having a good day.

Instability of the global market

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

The instability of the global market has everybody counting their pennies and holding their collective breaths waiting for things to turn around. The same premise holds true for today’s housing market. People are frazzled, waiting for the nation’s banks to regain some credibility and trust among consumers. Fortunately, our home was purchased right before most of the mortgage loans took a nosedive. We managed to qualify for a thirty year fixed rate at a decent interest rate. Our mortgage is currently holding steady but we are considering some kind of equity release agreement. Our home’s value, however, has rapidly declined. It was never in our interest to buy our home with the intent of selling in a few years to make some more money.

In fact, when we purchased our home almost two years ago, we decided we were going to live here forever, we didn’t want to. With that being said, we knew there were going to be some modifications we would make to our home within the first few years to make it “ours”. What we didn’t foresee was the crumbling value of our home, as well as the neighborhood, making taking out a loan on our home’s equity next-to-impossible and also making a fast property sale impossible too. The renovations we had planned will have to wait until the market regains some stability, and our home value begins to climb back up to where it was when we purchased.

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

The first thing to remember if an accident happens while you are on holiday is not to panic. No one anticipates an accident disrupting their hard earned vacation, but they do happen. Human error causes the majority of accidents on holiday. Vacationers who engage in dangerous behavior but themselves into dangerous situations where accidents are more likely to happen. Bring cover ups, hats and sunscreen to help avoid this from happening. Additionally if you are visiting a cold climate, dress in layers to help avoid catching colds or worse. In conclusion accidents do happen, and ones that happen on a holiday are particularly frustrating. By using a little common sense and planning your vacation wisely and using some restraint you can greatly improve the chances of accidents not happening and ruining your holiday.

Doctors and nurses have a tremendous responsibility

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Doctors and nurses have a tremendous responsibility to their patients and have a responsibility to be alert and thinking whenever they are working with a patient. Being inattentive and not taking care of the little details are simply unacceptable in a hospital setting as a patient’s health, and potentially even their life, is at stake. Given this, a doctor has the absolute responsibility to make sure that when they are working with patients they are alert and in the right frame of mind to make the appropriate decisions and perform the appropriate steps as the patient’s condition dictates.

When it comes to clinical negligence, serious consequences need to be administered so as to ensure medical professionals understand their obligation to patients. This goes all the way up to hospital negligence where the organization as a whole dictates imprudent but dangerous cost savings and down to the individual physician to whom patient well being is most intimately connected. Those individuals who are tasked with looking after others have an obligation to avoid negligent acts and act with full awareness at all times while on the job.

Learn Spanish

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

When I was in middle school and high school, it was mandatory to learn either Spanish or French. I chose to learn Spanish, and it was started in seventh grade and went up through twelfth grade. We started with all the basics like introductions and basic questions. To aid our learning we watched episodes of Spanish shows with no subtitles, ad afterward had a quiz on what the show was about. It was really interesting and at some points difficult but I’m glad I took Spanish. I never thought I would use the language at any point in my life, due to growing up in a privileged area of Connecticut. I ended up moving to New Jersey shortly after graduation and found a job at a company called Tech21. They manufactured guitar amps and pedals. All of the ladies that I worked with spoke Spanish, and only two of them spoke English. Trying to communicate with them was a lot easier with the background I had in Spanish. There was still a lot to learn in regards to the job specifics, but I picked it up quite fast and while I was learning Spanish, I was helping them learn a little bit of English.

Shy about visiting a casino?

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Many people shy away from visiting a casino due to the fact they feel they will be embarrassed by playing games which they are not accustomed to and which they are not very good at. Online casinos fills the needs of this group perfectly as it allows this group to get online from the comfort of home and practice their skills in virtual anonymity. Especially for those planning a trip to a casino town like Las Vegas, this provides an opportunity to hone skills and get ready for playing against people in real life and for potentially showing off in front of friends. Online casinos are also a good venue for those who have a higher skill level to practice and learn to perfect their techniques. A trip to the casino takes quite a bit of effort and so the amount of practice you can get at a casino is rather limited. Playing online poses none of these challenges as you can practice whenever you want.

Memory Foam and its Increased Share in the Market

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

Memory foam mattresses have been gaining in popularity over the past few years. They are an increasing share of the overall mattress market, and are poised to gain even more gain in the coming months and years. Memory foam mattresses have been widely available in many parts of the world for nearly two decades now.

The main reason that memory foam beds are becoming more popular is because of a few different reasons. One, the cost of the memory foam beds have been dropping. This is because of new competition and new companies that want to get into this ever increasing share of the bed market. Two, there has been an increase in the amount of advertising that has been taking place, touting the benefits of getting and owning a memory foam bed. In addition, the product has been widely praised for helping people get better sleep. By this occurring, this results in less pain and more restful sleep. Also, the forms allows for less movement in the bed that is caused by a spouse that moves around, which allows for more rest and less disturbance.
